Why Register Your Trademark?

A trademark transforms your brand name into an exclusive legal asset, protecting you from copycats and impersonators.

Exclusive Legal Rights

Once registered, you hold exclusive rights to use the brand name across India. If a competitor uses an identical or deceptively similar name, you have the legal power to sue them for infringement and seek damages.

Valuable Intangible Asset

A registered trademark is an intellectual property asset. Just like physical property, it can be sold, franchised, commercially contracted, or licensed out in exchange for royalties, increasing your company's valuation.

Amazon Brand Registry

To protect your product listings on e-commerce platforms like Amazon or Flipkart, a registered trademark is mandatory. It gives you access to 'A+ Content', Brand Stores, and allows you to kick off hijackers selling counterfeit products.

Use of ™ and ® Symbols

The day your application is filed, you can legally use the ™ (Trademark) symbol next to your logo. Once the government approves and registers the mark, you can use the prestigious ® (Registered) symbol, establishing massive consumer trust.

How It Works

The Trademark Lifecycle

While filing takes 24 hours, the government's examination and approval process takes several months. We guide you through every stage.

Step 1: Class Search & Preparation

We conduct a deep search across the 45 TM classes to ensure your brand name is unique. We then draft the TM-A application and Power of Attorney.

Step 2: Filing & TM Symbol Use

We file your application with the Trademarks Registry and generate an official Application Number. You can immediately start using the "TM" symbol.

Step 3: Examination & Vienna Codification

The government assigns Vienna codes to logos and examines the application. If they raise objections (e.g., similar name), our attorneys can draft a legal reply (additional service).

3

Step 4: Publication & Registration

If there are no objections (or they are successfully resolved), the mark is published in the TM Journal. After 4 months, the final Certificate is issued, and you can use the ® symbol.

Required Documents

You can securely upload these files to your client portal. An authorization document (Power of Attorney) will be generated by us for you to sign.

Logo / Brand Name

A clear image of your logo in JPEG format. If registering a wordmark, just the exact spelling of the brand name.

Applicant Identity Proof

PAN Card and Aadhaar/Passport of the individual proprietor or authorized director.

Entity Proof & MSME

Incorporation Certificate (for companies). Udyam/MSME Certificate is mandatory to claim the 50% discount on Govt. fees.

User Affidavit (Optional)

If you have been using the brand name previously, an affidavit claiming prior use along with old invoices.

Have you received a TM Objection?

It is common for the Trademarks Registry to issue an Examination Report objecting to a trademark under Section 9 (Absolute Grounds) or Section 11 (Relative Grounds). Our specialized IPR attorneys can draft a robust legal reply to overcome these objections.
